Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) applies to thesuitdoctor.com, and The Suit Doctor LLC (“Company”) and governs data collection and usage. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise noted, all references to the Company include thesuitdoctor.com. The Company’s website is an informational and appointment-booking site for our mobile tailoring services. By using the Company website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) and California Privacy Rights Act (“CPRA”):

  • Right to Know. You may request details on what personal data we collect, use, and share.
  • Right to Delete. You can request deletion of personal data, subject to certain legal exceptions.
  • Right to Correct. You may request corrections to inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to Opt-Out. You can opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data for advertising.
  • Right to Restrict Sensitive Data Use. You may limit the use of sensitive personal information.
  • Right Against Retaliation. The Company will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in the “Contact Information” section below. We will need to verify your identity before processing your request, typically by confirming information you have already provided us (such as your name, email address, or phone number on file). We will respond to verifiable requests within forty-five (45) days of receipt; if we need more time, we will notify you and may extend this period by up to an additional forty-five (45) days as permitted by law.

Collection of your Personal Information

In order to better provide you with products and services offered, the Company may collect personally identifiable information, such as your:

  • First and last name
  • Mailing address
  • Email address
  • Phone number

Our website does not process online payments, operate a shopping cart, or store credit card information. If you engage our services, payment is collected in person at your fitting or through a separate invoice, and any payment information you provide in that context is handled by our payment processor and is not stored or processed through this Website.

We do not collect any personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. However, you may be required to provide certain personal information to us when you elect to use certain products or services. These may include: (a) requesting an appointment or fitting through our contact form; (b) entering a sweepstakes or contest sponsored by us or one of our partners; (c) signing up for special offers from selected third parties; (d) sending us an email message; (e) providing payment information when you pay for services in person or by invoice, as described above. To wit, we will use your information for, but not limited to, communicating with you in relation to services and/or products you have requested from us. We also may gather additional personal or non-personal information in the future.

We collect this information from the following sources: directly from you (for example, when you contact us, request an appointment, or make a purchase), automatically through your use of our Website (for example, through the analytics and advertising technologies described below), and from service providers who help us operate our business (such as scheduling, payment, and hosting providers).

Use of your Personal Information

The Company collects and uses your personal information in the following ways:

  • to operate and deliver the services you have requested
  • to provide you with information, products, or services that you request from us
  • to provide you with notices about your appointments or services
  • to carry out the Company’s obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered between you and us, including for billing and collection
  • to notify you about changes to our website or any products or services we offer or provide through it
  • in any other way we may describe when you provide the information
  • for any other purpose with your consent.

The Company may also use your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from the Company and its affiliates.

Sharing Information with Third Parties

The Company does not sell, rent, or lease its customer lists to third parties.

The Company may share data with trusted partners to help perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, provide customer support, or arrange for deliveries. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to the Company, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

The advertising and analytics providers described in the “Cookies, Tracking Technologies & Analytics” and “Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API” sections below are an exception to the preceding paragraph. Those providers receive information about your visit and may use it for their own purposes under their own privacy policies, rather than solely on our behalf.

The Company may disclose your personal information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on the Company or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of the Company; and/or (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Company, or the public.

The Company does not sell your personal information for money, and does not rent or lease it. We do, however, use the advertising technologies described in the “Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API” section below, which transmit information about your visit to Meta Platforms, Inc. Under the CCPA and CPRA, that activity may qualify as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we disclose it as such rather than rely on a narrower reading. You may opt out at any time using the methods described in that section, or by contacting us using the information in the “Contact Information” section below, and we will honor your request.

Text Messaging (SMS) Program

The Company offers an SMS/text messaging program to send you appointment reminders and related account notifications. We do not currently send marketing or promotional text messages.

How you opt in: You opt in to this program by voluntarily providing your mobile phone number and checking the SMS consent checkbox in the Communication Preferences section of our contact form at thesuitdoctor.com/contact-us. Consent to receive these messages is never a condition of purchase. If we begin sending marketing or promotional text messages in the future, we will add a separate, distinct opt-in for that purpose and update this Policy before doing so.

Message frequency: Message frequency varies and messages are sent only as needed around your appointments and related account activity. Message and data rates may apply. Check with your carrier for details.

How to opt out: To stop receiving messages, reply STOP to any text message. Text HELP to 816-429-0303 for assistance, or contact us at contact@mail.thesuitdoctor.com.

Carrier disclaimer: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Age restriction: You must be 18 years of age or older to use this SMS service.

No sharing of mobile information: No mobile information or SMS opt-in consent will be shared with any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. This includes the advertising and analytics providers described in this Policy: we do not transmit your phone number, in any form, to Meta or to any other advertising platform. The only exception is our SMS service providers, who deliver messages solely on our behalf and are contractually prohibited from using your information for any other purpose. All other categories of information sharing described in this Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent.

Cookies, Tracking Technologies & Analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use our website. We use these technologies for:

  • Strictly necessary functions, specifically bot protection provided by Cloudflare
  • Analytics and performance tracking, through Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, to understand traffic patterns and improve our website
  • Advertising and conversion measurement, through the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API, to measure the results of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram and to show our ads to people who have visited our website

We do not currently use Google Ads conversion tracking or any advertising network other than Meta. You can control or disable cookies at any time through your browser settings. For full details on the categories of cookies we use, the third parties involved, and the opt-out options available to you, please see our full Cookie Policy.

Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API

We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, and we use two tools from Meta Platforms, Inc. (“Meta”) to measure whether that advertising is working. Both are described here in plain terms so you can decide how you feel about them.

Meta Pixel. The Meta Pixel is a small piece of code that runs on every page of our website. When you visit a page, it sends Meta a record of that visit along with your IP address, your browser and device type, the page address, and Meta’s own cookie identifiers (such as the “_fbp” cookie it sets on your device). If you are logged in to Facebook or Instagram, or have used them on the same device, Meta can connect that activity to your account.

Advanced matching. When you submit our contact form, the Pixel additionally sends Meta a hashed version of your email address and of your first and last name. Hashing converts a value into an irreversible string of characters, so that Meta can compare it against its own records but cannot read it back as your email address or your name. This is how Meta determines that the person who requested an appointment is the same person who saw one of our advertisements.

Meta Conversions API. When you submit our contact form, we also send a record of that submission to Meta directly from our servers, in addition to the information sent from your browser. This lets us measure which advertisements lead to real appointment requests even when a browser blocks the Pixel. That record contains the same hashed email address and hashed name described above, along with your IP address, browser information, and Meta’s cookie identifiers.

What we deliberately do not send. We do not send your phone number to Meta, in hashed form or any other form. We do not send the content of your message, your SMS consent selection, or your email consent selection. Our contact form does not ask for your date of birth, gender, home address, or postal code, and Meta’s matching settings that would transmit those categories are switched off, so that they cannot begin collecting quietly if our form changes later. These are configuration choices we have made deliberately, not defaults we accepted.

How Meta uses it. Meta receives this information as an independent business, not solely as our service provider, and handles it under its own Privacy Policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy. We use it only to measure our advertising results and to show our advertisements to people who have shown interest in custom tailoring. We do not use it to make decisions about pricing, service quality, or eligibility.

How to opt out. You have several options, and you may use any of them:

  • Turn on your browser’s tracking protection or content blocking. Note that the Pixel sets a first-party cookie, so blocking third-party cookies alone reduces but does not eliminate it
  • Use a tracker-blocking browser extension, which prevents the Pixel from loading at all. This is the most complete option
  • Adjust your advertising preferences directly with Meta at facebook.com/adpreferences
  • Use the industry opt-out tools at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org
  • Contact us using the information in the “Contact Information” section below and ask to be excluded

If you ask us directly, we will stop sending your information to Meta, remove you from any advertising audience you appear in, and exclude you from future ones. We cannot delete or change information Meta already holds about you, including anything Meta collected through your own use of Facebook or Instagram. That is within Meta’s control rather than ours, and the routes above that go directly to Meta or to your browser are the ones that reach it.

Opting out of advertising measurement will not affect your ability to use our website, request an appointment, or receive our services.

Automatically Collected Information

The Company may automatically collect information about your computer hardware and software. This information can include your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times, and referring website addresses. This information is used for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding the use of the Company’s website.

This website contains links to other sites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of any other site that collects personally identifiable information.

Security of your Personal Information

The Company secures your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. The Company uses the following methods for this purpose:

  • TLS (Transport Layer Security) encryption

When personal information is transmitted to us through this Website, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as Transport Layer Security (TLS).

We strive to take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or alteration of your personal information. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, you acknowledge that: (a) there are security and privacy limitations inherent to the Internet that are beyond our control; and (b) the security, integrity, and privacy of any and all information and data exchanged between you and us through this site cannot be guaranteed.

Right to Deletion

Subject to certain exceptions set out below, on receipt of a verifiable request from you, we will:

  • Delete your personal information from our records; and
  • Direct any service providers to delete your personal information from their records.

Under the CCPA and CPRA, you have the right to request that the Company, and any third parties with whom your personal information is sold or shared, delete any personal information that has been collected about you. Please note that we may not be able to comply with requests to delete your personal information if it is necessary to:

  • Complete the transaction for which the personal information was collected, fulfill the terms of a written warranty or product recall conducted in accordance with federal law, and provide a good or service requested by you, or reasonably anticipated within the context of our ongoing business relationship with you, or otherwise perform a contract between you and us;
  • Detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity; or prosecute those responsible for that activity;
  • Debug to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality;
  • Exercise free speech, ensure the right of another consumer to exercise his or her right of free speech, or exercise another right provided for by law;
  • Comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act;
  • Engage in public or peer-reviewed scientific, historical, or statistical research in the public interest that adheres to all other applicable ethics and privacy laws, when our deletion of the information is likely to render impossible or seriously impair the achievement of such research, provided we have obtained your informed consent;
  • Enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with your expectations based on your relationship with us;
  • Comply with an existing legal obligation; or
  • Otherwise use your personal information, internally, in a lawful manner that is compatible with the context in which you provided the information.

Children Under Thirteen

The Company does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, you must ask your parent or guardian for permission to use this website.

Email Communications

From time to time, the Company may contact you via email for the purpose of providing announcements, promotional offers, alerts, confirmations, surveys, and/or other general communication. In order to improve our services, we may receive a notification when you open an email from the Company or click on a link therein.

If you would like to stop receiving marketing or promotional communications via email from the Company, you may opt out of such communications by clicking unsubscribe at the bottom of the email.

External Data Storage Sites

We may store your data on servers provided by third-party hosting vendors with whom we have contracted.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the products and services you have requested, comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When personal information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

Changes to This Statement

The Company reserves the right to change this Policy from time to time. For example, when there are changes in our services, changes in our data protection practices, or changes in the law. When changes to this Policy are significant, we will inform you by placing a prominent notice on our website and, where we have your email address on file, by sending you an email. Your continued use of the website and/or services available after such modifications will constitute your: (a) acknowledgment of the modified Policy; and (b) agreement to abide and be bound by that Policy.
